The reported offer of Sakura-no-Kai, or Cherry Blossom Sociey of Japan, to forward 500 flowering cherry trees to this city replacing those destroyed by root rot, due to heavy rainfall last summer. Is being awaited with pleasure by the Office of Public Buildings and Public Parks, which will announce a grateful acceptance on receipt of official information.
